Israeli forces blow up two homes in southern Lebanon amid ongoing ceasefire violations

The Israeli occupation army detonated two houses in border towns in Nabatieh Governorate, southern Lebanon, on Tuesday in ongoing violations of the ceasefire that has been in place since late 2024.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Israeli occupation forces detonated two residential houses in border towns of Lebanon’s Nabatieh Governorate on Tuesday, marking yet another breach of the ceasefire that has been in effect since late 2024.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported that an Israeli unit planted explosives inside a house in the town of Houla, in the Bint Jbeil district, and blew it up shortly after midnight. The agency added that another home was similarly destroyed in the Khurza neighborhood of Aita al‑Shaab.

More than 4,000 people were killed and nearly 17,000 injured during Israel’s assault on Lebanon, which began in October 2023 and escalated into a full war by September 2024. The conflict ended later that year following a ceasefire agreement.

Despite the agreement, Israeli forces continue to violate the truce with near‑daily attacks that have caused hundreds of casualties. They also maintain control over five Lebanese hills captured in the last war, along with other territories occupied for decades.
